Based on Matthew 28:18-20, the Board of Mission and Outreach actively engages members for hands-on mission outreach through offering mission trips to help the needy. Also provides financial assistance through our Compassion Fund to those in need, or holiday gifts through the area Community Fund. Mission dollars from the annual operating budget are distributed locally, nationally, and inter-nationally. There are presently 5 that serve with a maximum total service of 4 years (2, 2 year terms).
Food Pantry Emergency food is always available through our food pantry by contacting the church office for an appointment. Food or financial donations appreciated. Coordinator: Patrick Barrett. Tuesdays - 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesdays - 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Monday Night Meal A free community meal that is designed for socializing and feeding the hungry provided by the local churches. Monday’s from 4:00-6:00 pm except for holidays Coordinator: Cathy Beard & Marlene Thomas
Summer Camp Summer camp is geared for children going into 4th-9th grades. It is offered through the Michigan Conference of Congregational Christian Churches and held at the YMCA Camp Copneconic in Fenton, MI. There are scholarships available. Camp is a life experience every child needs to be part of.
Church Library The purpose of the library is to increase our understanding of the Christian faith, to provide enlightenment, comfort and support to individuals through personal reading or group study. To act as a vibrant outreach center for those in need. Through individual or group study the contents of the library can help one explore and study our faith.
